Joy For Mourning

I created this card for today's LSC247 to make it a long and tall, perfect for Mercy's sketch this week MTSC48. I need a symathy card, I think the verse from Verve Isaiah 61:3 is perfect for sympathy. I used the wide SU ribbon for the long panel, the designer paper is Bo Bunny(Unknown). I used the SU Butterfly die, ran it through a cuttlebug folder, and then added some SU dazzling diamonds. I wanted this to be perfect, it is for a family that has gone through a tragic death. I hope you like me creation, mostly enjoy your weekend!

Home For The Holidays-Verve Project Parade

I am excited to share with you my project for the Verve Project Parade, the theme is Home For The Holidays. We are trying to keep our gifts under $10, I bought this hanging frame from Michael's for $7.99. It is beautiful and of excellent quality, that means a lot to me. I used the SEI Winter Song designer paper, I paper pieced the tree using the Verve set Christmas In The Air. I stamped the snowflakes, cut them out, and added Martha Stewart glitter and adhered to the outside of the frame. I made a matching card, because I adore the colors and I enjoy making cards. As with all the challenges and releases there are prizes; you still have time to get yours in. Make your very own Home For The Holidays project and upload it to the Verve Blog by Thursday November 26 and you could win some new Verve! Be sure to head over to the Verve Blog and check out the other divas creations, your chances of winning are better if you comment on our projects. Enjoy your creating time!

Christmas Wishes From Jessie

I created this card for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge SSS30 and for The Play Date Cafe Challenge #4, to use the colors in the color palette above. I used this adorable image from Sweet 'N Sassy called Christmas Cheer. This is the perfect stamp set to have for the dog and cat lover. I will be sending these cards to my family and friends who know my Jessie girl, so the card is really from her. Some of you may think I am crazy for sending cards to people from my dog, but I do not have children so my Mom keeps my dog and she is a granddog to her.....hehehe. My Mom loves her as much as I do.
Anyway, I am happy with the colors, the lay-out, and the image; it all works well together. I could not resist adding the red button, I think it really adds to the whole card. I added chunky glitter to the stocking ends, so cuuuute. The card stock is Prism and the designer paper is SU Thoroughly Modern. I paper pieced the main part of the stocking. I hope you are preparing for Christmas, you know it is only 38 days away, can you believe it? I hope you have a fantastic day and enjoy!

Post Card Christmas

I created this for today's CC245 to use Chocolate, Red, and Artichoke(I used Olive). This is also for the OCC sketch challenge. I would have luv to have had the SU Winter Post set today, but I have not bought it, yet. Notice I said yet, it has been on my wish list since it came out....hehehehe. I used what I had to make it look like a post card. I used the Verve sets Christmas In The Air and O Christmas Tree. I used the SU Simply Scrappin designer paper Christmas Jingle. To make the stamp I cut a piece of card stock using the rectangle scalloped nesties. I added a snowflake for the stamp design and a bigger snowflake for the main panel. I hope you like my post card creation, take time to for others today, enjoy!

Winter Song Christmas

I have created this gift box full of cards and used four different sketches to complete it. The first sketch is Jen's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT. I used the SU wide Baja Breeze ribbon and the Verve Christmas In The Air set. The second one is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC44. I used the SU top die instead of a circle, I added polished embellies, sponging and distressing. the third sketch is for Taylor's Sketch TESC91. I used only designer paper, some stitching and a punched snowflake covered with glitter. The sentiment you can't see is "Merry Christmas". The final sketch is for The Pink Elephant Challenge, TPE41. It is the little circle card, I used the Verve set Blessed Christmas. All card stock is Prism and the designer paper is SEI Winter Song. This is a gift that I am donating to a friend, for an upcoming action. I hope you have a wonderful day and be sure to make the most of family moments, enjoy!

From The Heart

Good morning, it's mojo time! Today's sketch is lots of fun, I like having the different dp, embossing, and stamping backgrounds all together. I have need several Sympathy cards lately, I should make these to have on hand and then they wouldn't be as hard to do. I used the Verve stamp Budding Blossom and the sentiment is from Forever In Our Hearts. The background behind the main panel is Bountiful Backgrounds, I heat embossed it to give it a little shine and depth. I used nestie label 1 to cut out the sentiment, I added ribbon, with twin and a button. I added stickles to the flower to add a little something to the image.
Be sure to head over to the Mojo Monday Blog and check out the other mojo makers creations! I am a busy gal this week, creating and designing; did I mention I am off...hehehehe...I enjoy being able to stay at home and create, so be sure to check back often!

Hello Flower

If you are looking for the Thankful For Friends Faith Blog Hop click here.
Good morning gals, I am super excited about today's card, why you ask? Well, our church sends care packages to the soldiers for Christmas and I always include handmade cards for them to send back home to love ones. I get over joyed by giving them my cards, I like knowing they have a special card to send to family and friends. Today's card is going in that pile.
If you are not playing Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, you should give it a try. I luv inspiration challenges and the cupcakes she finds to inspire us are gorgeous! I used several goodies from the Hope Stamps Eternal Store. The cuttlebug embossing folder is called Morrocan Screen and the chocolate designer paper is Basicgrey Nook & Pantry. I did a little sanding to give it a distressed look, I added a rust ribbon. The hello sentiment is from the set Inkadinkado Hello Hummingbird, I added several Zva Creative Pearls under the hello sentiment. Let me tell you about the flower it is Bella Blvd Blooms, they are cotton and the layers can be taken apart. I left this one together, since it is cotton it absorbs ink very well. I heavily sponged it with my SU Really Rust ink and then went back with a thin line of glue on the petal tips and added SU Dazzling Diamonds. It is really pretty IRL. It really makes a statement. Be sure to use the keyword CIC33 when loading to on line galleries and upload you creation to Mr Linky at Hope Stamps Eternal Blog. I hope you like my hello flower creation, enjoy your day and take time to hug someone today!
Check out the other cuppies creation with today's cupcake.

Wonderful

If you are looking for the Thankful For Friends Blog Hop click here or scroll down one.

I created this card for today's IC206, I was inspired by this necklace here. It didn't go exactly like I had planned, but I am pleased with the outcome. I used Amber's Viva la Verve, VLVNOV03 sketch with a twist, the twist was to make a holiday card. I need lots more Christmas cards, so I was glad for the challenge.
The snowflakes are chipboard from K&Company called Evergreen. I adhered with glue dots. I used black ribbon with a big gold stone and added pearls to the snowflakes that are embossed.
I hope you like my Christmas creation and be sure to stop by often in the coming week, I am off from work and plan on bringing to you lots of creations. If you haven't started thinking about a Christmas to do list now is the time. Plan those family gatherings, cookie baking with friends, and breakfast get togethers. Also make time to do for those who are less fortune, we need to help one another! Enjoy.
